#188 – Tuesday, May 12th
I began this painting by infusing the canvas with yellow’s brilliant luminosity and while I’ve created my share of massively yellow paintings . . . this time . . . it just became overwhelming. So a practiced reversal, the ice treatment. Obscuring the too much, revealing the just enough, then tied with graphite.
