Hang Your Hat And Settle In

#113 – Tuesday May 14th

I love this photograph. Shot during the reception for the show at Citizen Espresso Bar, Tiffany (the owner of Citizen) took it with her phone. I love how animated everyone is, and the 50’s Kodachrome color perfectly captures the evening’s wonderful vibe. (The image was cropped, but not manipulated in any other way)

The installation view of the show. Seven paintings. Citizen is a melange of good folks, a great place to hang your hat, and the best espresso on the planet . . . Guilty Pleasures indeed!

More Citizen & More Fun With Tools

#112 – Tuesday May 7th

Off to install my work at Citizen Espresso Bar.  I do like everything in its place. A cigar box  from my father’s workshop appropriated for picture hanging what nots. A trusty measuring tape, upholstery hammer, multi-tool, brass hardware, screwdriver, mini-level (all on the up and up) and the magic triangle measuring mistake eraser, all housed in an old doctor’s satchel . . . and I’m on my way . . . So please come join in, just click here for an invite.

Guilty Pleasures

#111 – Tuesday April 30th

Espresso and art? Two of my favorite things. I’m showing a group of work from 2011 – 2012. A few of these paintings were exhibited at Perimeter Gallery, Chicago, but none were included in the Scottsdale Pop-Up Gallery. So this will be the first time any of these paintings will be on view in Arizona, and it’s good fun to show them here, in my own back yard.
