#238 – january 5, 2021
With seven days until I install the show and ten until the opening, I’m working down the checklist. Frames for the large paintings arrived last week, and seeing how beat-up the box was, I thought the worst, but they were packed to survive. I’d opted for unfinished maple, and I’m giving them a light white stain finish. I don’t sign the paintings until I know they’re heading out the door, then they need a final coat of fixative to keep the graphite and other media from wondering about. My favorite is Lascaux Fixativ. It goes on light and works to perfection, keeping everything in place with a subtle lustrous finish. Now for the remainder of the week, priority one is getting the paintings in the frames!
Your continuing interest in my work is much appreciated!

Love! I love framing my work – last show I didn’t have the money to frame anything. Where do you get your frames?
The work looks great!
Welcome back! I’ve missed Tuesdays.
Thanks! it’s good to be back!
